Law of Companies in Hong Kong, 4th Edition (September 2023) provides detailed analysis of the main areas of company law as set out in case law and legislation. It covers the Companies Ordinance (Cap.622) and the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance (Cap.32).
The new edition covers legislative changes, including:
- Amendments that expand simplified reporting for corporate groups and alignment of certain concepts with the latest accounting standards;
- Reforms in the regulation of auditors;
- The phased commencement of the new regime under Part 2 and Part 12 of the Companies Ordinance, to protect the privacy of directors’ residential addresses and identification numbers of directors.
